The wool for our living and cuddly blanket "Airde" is something very special. It comes from the inhospitable, cold and damp Welsh mountains. The ancient breed of sheep called "Black Welsh Mountain Sheep" that lives there must produce wool that provides cosy warmth even under extreme conditions. As you know, we process the virgin wool so gently and with a lot of care (no bleach, no dyeing, no softeners, etc.) that it retains its excellent properties and capabilities for you. The blanket "" is made of a woven, rolled loden. After fulling, it is very strongly napped with a special process. The result is a super fluffy blanket that keeps you warm when glamping in the Welsh mountains, but also at home on the sofa.

Airde is the Gaelic word for height because that's where the wool for our blanket comes from. The colder the area a sheep lives in, the better its wool insulates. So the altitude of the Black Welsh Mountain Sheep is our guarantee for a warming product.
