Our Tejo model belongs to the sporty part of our summer collection. Its colour-contrasting especially flat-lock seams are not only a fashionable eye-catcher, but also offer exceptionally great freedom of movement thanks to their flexibility. The raglan-style sleeves and the round crew neckline are inspired by the design of the sports jumpers originally designed for rowers. With its rounded hem at the back, Tejo is ideal for sporting activities and offers airy cooling for active wool lovers who don't want to miss out on the supple material in summer.
Our model Marco is 1.83 m tall and wears size S. Our sizes are based on the usual clothing standards, so we recommend you choose the size you usually feel most comfortable in.
Made from our fine Portuguese virgin wool, the Tejo pullover is comfortable to wear next to the skin. Thanks to the properties of this wool, which are ideally suited to warm climates, moisture is immediately regulated by the lightweight material. On cooler days and balmy summer nights, the model is also ideal as a warming top layer.
We do not chemically treat our wool to remove the smallest particles, such as tiny grass fibres. These are sometimes visible in the material, but so fine that they are not noticeable on the skin by leaving these fibres in the wool fabric, we preserve its naturally multi-faceted, pleasing surface colour. This quality is not only maintained in our undyed champagne colour, but also in the other colours available, for which we only use GOTS certified dyes.
You want to know more about the background of our summer collection? We asked Marco directly a lot of questions and he answers them here.
The cool river Tejo, the longest river on the Iberian Peninsula, flows through the picturesque landscapes of Portugal. It is not the river that divides minds, but the sheep: only south of the Tagus can you find the soft-wool original merino sheep, whose fine hair is so ideally adapted to the hot climate. Their relatives north of the river can only come up with hard, coarse wool.
